Travelogue 2 - Perth, Australia

The best trip ever. Back in April 2012, lepas setahun beli flight tiket nak murah punya pasal, 7 of us including my nenek saudara yang gagah went to Perth. It was a self-arranged vacation by me and abah (normal combination) plus our expert and techno savvy guy, of coz my hubby (GPS setup..make impossible things become possible with extra effort and no cost impact. Nice rite?)

So cut the story short, this was our self arranged transportation, Kia Grand Carnival 3.8 L. As a guideline to those yang interested untuk buat self-arranged vacation, you might want to consider to book your car from website to enjoy a cheaper price. We were so lucky sebab kitorang first user for this car..bau kilang beb. Thanks to Hertz! 

Superb homestay at Lynwood

This picture was taken in front of our home stay located in the City of Canning, Lynwood. We had a great stay there. We cooked like we were in our own house. Super cozy. 2 large bedrooms with 2 queen sized beds and 3 single beds. Fully furnished with washing machine (siap basuh baju macam kat rumah!), basic kitchen but still manage to masak macam2, towel provided and also not to forget the private swimming pool at the back of the house. First Day

After 4 hours in the flight and 1 hour of queue kat Kastam (sebab sampai pukul 5.30 am, 1 counter je bukak), letak beg, breakfast lebih kurang and terus excited nak explore West Australia. So we went to Caversham Wildlife Park konon nak bawak Kimi tengok Kangaroo, tapi sebenarnya yang tua-tua ni yang terlebih excited. Berbekalkan sandwich sardin and telur, we started our journey to North WA. In 45 minutes dah sampai. Thanks to our techno savvy guy. GPS illegal yang di install berjaya!

Normally orang tunjuk gambar Kangaroo, so cliche. Nak tunjuk gambar Possum la. ;) Possums are marsupial with long thick tail. Super cute like a giant squirrel. Kangaroo kat sini berkeliaran macam kat Malaysia kita nampak kucing.  Scarry jugak sebab kangaroo tu follow kita dari belakang. For info, saya fobia dengan semua jenis binatang atas muka bumi Tuhan ini. Semut, nyamuk n lalat je yang berani bunuh. 

Other than Kangaroo, Caversham Wildlife Park which is a family owned park also have Koala, Donkey, Wombat, Wallaby and other native Australian animals and plants. For $24 admission fee, ini adalah tempat wajib for those yang interested  to visit Perth. Next destination, Mondo Nougat Factory. The factory is about 10 minutes drive from Caversham Wildlife Park. Variety of nougat here available for your purchase. Nice souvenir from Down under. Dah petang, we heading back to Lynwood singgah beli groceries and bermacam-macam fruits, Rockmelon (terribly super duper juicy delicious), honeydew, plum, kiwi, pisang kaki etc.Rasa dia perghhhh! Malam takkan disia-siakan. We went to CBD to see scenery at night. Layan photographer nak test skill kat Australia. :D

Day 2

We went to South WA. First destination, Bunbury nak tengok Dolphin at Dolphin Discovery Centre. Nak naik cruise mahal sangat so kita pegi discovery centre je la ye and Cik Ngah takut sangat ada shark dalam air..so dia disagree untuk semua aktiviti yang berdekatan dengan air, di gigi air apatah lagi dalam air. But before we arrived at the discovery centre, we stopped by sebab photographer nampak location cantik untuk ambil gambar. Tengah sibuk setup..nampak dolphin!! Seronoknya..is a wild dolphin. Nasib baik sempat capai videocam. At the discovery centre, we have to wait for the dolphin to passed by. Ikut nasib la..dah 2 jam tunggu dolphin tak nak lalu..maybe sebab hujan. So kitorang dapat tengok 3D film about dolphin and baca je la..tengok rangka dolphin..and ada amazing octopus kat situ..seronok tengok.

Lepas kecewa dengan dolphin yang tak menjelma, we went to Macademia Nut Factory and  Shop. Tempat ni is a must people.. especially to those yang gila makan kacang macam kitorg. Macademia mahal kot kat Malaysia but here they allow us to eat it for free! Actually 300 g je dia tulis but sebab tak ada orang lain kat situ..dia layan kitorang je la. To crack kulit macademia tu, dia ada machine. Ada 2 sahaja cara untuk bukak kulit macademia either pakai machine or burung cackatoo. The macademia farm is very big but according to the salesgirl, the production only can cater Australian market.. Padan la mahal. So our lunch for second day is macademia nut. Kitorang makan sampai kenyang kot!

Next destination, we went to Rockingham. Ada beach and singgah solat at Masjid Ar-Rukun.  Masjid yang bersih and cantik dan besar. And terserempak dengan Rockingham Shopping Centre..so jalan-jalan habiskan masa and duit. Hehe..

Day 3

Whole day at Fremantle. Located at the mouth of Swan River, 30 minutes drive from Lynwood. We arrived early in the morning..jalan-jalan hirup udara segar. Our main transport, CAT bus. It is a free shuttle with 3 routes. So pilih la blue, red or yellow line depends on where you wanno go. Tempat menarik..maritime Museum, Fremantle prison ( x pergi sebab ada baby), Fremantle Market (Best! Macam Central Market Malaysia) and tempat souvenir best. Ooo..my shoes rosak kat sini.. So kasut yang tengah pakai tu tak tanggal harga lagi, my new shoes bought at Fremantle, Nike @ $49. Super comfortable. Tak sampai Malaysia lagi ni..hahaha..We had our lunch at the restaurant which voted as the best fish and chip restaurant, Kailis Fish Market. Sedap and Scenery yang sangat cantik.

Day 4

Hari ini sangat best sebab hari shopping sedunia!We went to Carboot sale at Canningvale Market. Bought few "Unused" toys for Kimi and earlier in the morning at the same market, abah and hubby went there to buy fresh goods untuk mama masak..Ikan yang tersangat la fresh..nyummm..After that we went shopping at Harbourtown located at CBD Perth and as mentioned in previous post, we met Aaron Aziz tengah shooting Adam & Hawa. I bought few not so expensive stuff i.e hand luggage, sheridan bedspread, few shirts etc Duit pun tukar tak banyak sangat. Nak sampai sini lagi tak tau bila lagi..so tak pela spend sikit sikit apa yang termampu.

Sunset at Scarborough Beach, Perth

Sessi petang yang sangat windy, after solat at Perth Mosque, we went to Scarborough Beach. Kimi like it so much..super sejuk kot..dia je yang pergi dekat air with  his abah's supervision. Orang lain berdiri dari jauh je.. kat sini tempat orang surfing sebab ombak tinggi.

Day 5

Our last day here, picnic at Kings Park. Took so many pictures. Last minute shopping at the shopping centre nearby and our favourite hypermarket in Perth, Supa Iga. Almost everyday kot pegi sini. So sedih meninggalkan bumi Perth and sampai sekarang my hubby tak habis-habis cakap nak migrate. Maybe one day, boleh business Nasi Lemak or Nasi Ayam dekat Perth. What a nice place to be...
